During this time it will be necessary for some staff to be moved to other areas within the UHB to support key services. Appropriate training and PPE will be provided.

Any member of staff who is moved will not be put at a detriment and will receive as a minimum their normal rate of pay.

Q. Do I need to complete a staff change (PIF) form when staff are moved?
No, there is no requirement during this time to complete a staff change form but please ensure the member of staff is moved on Roster-pro and or there are processes in place to ensure they are paid correctly.

Travelling Expenses

Q. If I am travelling to an alternative work location(s) as a result of being redeployed to support front line / critical services, will I be eligible to claim expenses?
Yes, you will be able to claim for any travel expenses incurred as a result of supporting services. This will be through the e-Expenses system and claimed as business mileage, the system will automatically deduct home to base and you can use the reason ‘COVID-19’ for reporting.
